Happy things happen when we embrace simplicity. As happy as this illustration that came as a
result from a brief encounter with a cute baby horse playing in the field with her proud mama.
I have been trying to be more playful, to allow more space in my work and in my life in general.
I have to admit I take art very seriously, I put too much stress on how things should look and how
clean my technique shall be which sadly shows as a bit too much effort and not in a cute way.
I’m happy with this one because I had no intention to make it in the first place. It just popped up
on the screen while I was playing
and I loved it right away. It just screams: love me! I decided to
dedicate part of the revenue from this design to buy carrots for horses in need for a snack
(no jokes) feel free to send me suggestions for where horses are specially hungrier for a snack!
I decided to use the design on both a mug and a vacuum bottle. The mug sounded
like a nice way to start the day with a reminder of how precious life can be (horse lovers
won’t you agree?) and a bottle for all those adventurers on the go, have a happy baby
horse with you sounds like much luck, won’t you say?
Muhja, which in Arabic means the soul, or the blood of your heart, is a curious happy
folly (a baby female horse). She stole my heart with her kicks and happy canters trying
to catch up with her mom and left me in awe for all the beauty and strength that live in
children hearts as she tried so serious to kick the coach when he approached her.
Muhja lives in the Arabian horse club (for now) and would happily munch on the
carrots you buy her when you buy any of these products!
